Prayer Update
Good morning friends and fellow sojourners;
Today you will hear from an new voice of the lead pastor search committee ("Committee"), Dawn Kelly. She will update you on our progress.
In case you are not in attendance this morning, the Committee took off the month of January and we began work afresh in February. We have taken a look at a prospect already this month, and we will discuss him in further depth at our next meeting on 2/22/22.
We note that there is another fellow of interest that is not specifically looking to move at this time. We are praying about that fellow and how to move forward on that front as well. Please join us in prayer for the two guys mentioned above.
Please continue to pray for the church body. It has been 2 full years and we are still plugging along. Please pray for our preachers, Frank, Andy, Tom, Gil, Larry, and Gary and for the worship team. We are so blessed to have them as a resource. Please also pray for our committed staff and volunteers that continue to make things hum every day, every week, for two years now. Please pray for the congregation, that the people would not be discouraged with the after effects of Covid-19, that they would see the LORD's hand in all of this.
As a committee, we are not discouraged but rather, more encouraged that the LORD is preparing the right guy at the right time. We do ask that you please continue in prayer for wisdom and discernment for the Committee.
One last note. We have increasingly seen that there is great spiritual warfare out there. This is not the culture of the 1970's. Many candidates have been on the business end of the Devils fiery darts. Please pray for the spiritual welfare these men and their families have encountered. The Evil One likes to destroy and we have seen some of the stark realities of this. But, they, and we, have the Prince of Peace as the commander of the Army of heavenly hosts.
We are so grateful for your continued support. And, one last thank you (and you know who you are), for the lovely Valentine cupcake surprise at our last meeting. Yummy!!!
