Congregational Meeting

Sunday, December 06, 2020, 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Location: Online, Hunt Valley, MD US 21031

There is an upcoming online congregational zoom meeting to start the process of transitioning Senior Pastor Frank Boswell to Pastor Emeritus. This is an honor & responsibility of our ‘formal members.'

(If you love Hunt Valley Church, but haven’t yet taken the step to become a 'formal member,' we ask that you "sit this one out" as it is a responsibility of formal members.)

Formal members will receive an email walking them through the details of the online meeting.

Test your zoom setup

Test your Zoom setup anytime before the meeting to be sure your settings and hardware will work.  Visit to enter a test meeting where you can see how your video will look to others, adjust your sound settings, and verify that your microphone will work.

Note: If using a computer (instead of phone or tablet), it is best to use headphones or earbuds to prevent feedback from your computer speakers and microphone.

How to ask a question during the meeting

Due to the size of the meeting, everyone except hosts will be muted by default and you will be unable to unmute yourself. As we get to the point where questions will be taken from the congregation, "raise your hand" and a host will unmute your device and invite you to speak. How to raise your hand depends on the device on which you join the meeting.

How to "digitally raise your hand":
For most phones and tablets, “raise hand” will be an option at the bottom of the screen under “more”. For most computers, you will need to select “participants” at the bottom of the screen, find your name on the now-open participants’ sidebar, and find “raise hand” under the “more” or three-dot ellipse icon.

When your hand is raised, the hand icon will be blue and the hosts will be notified that your hand is raised. To lower your hand, click again until the icon is no longer illuminated blue. Our hosts will lower your hand and mute your microphone after your question is presented.

If you have any questions, or need support prior to the meeting day, please email or call us at the office  , 410-771-0690.
