Marriage MATTERS

HVC’s Marriage Matters provides opportunities for couples to cultivate their marriages through all ages and stages, so they can thrive together and ultimately point others to Christ. Strengthening and equipping marriages to endure the challenges couples may face is vital to the ultimate success of marriages.

Marriage Matters offers the chance for couples to grow together and in community with other couples in various ways:

  • Pre-marital, marital, or crisis mentoring (by certified Symbis Assessment Facilitators)
  • Small-group marriage studies
  • Marriage enrichment social activities and retreats

Take a look at the Argenbright’s marriage story.

Check out the events listed below to find ways you and your spouse can connect with others and grow your marriage.

Care Conversations

These gatherings occur quarterly, and address common life-issues and difficulties that many face today (e.g. grieving through the holidays, parenting blended families, loving family through their choices, and preparing strategically for later years, etc.)

Spot the next Care Conversation in the events section below.

New Horizons

Seasons of life often bring about shifting experiences, availability, and opportunities. New Horizons hopes to connect both socially and spiritually those people experiencing an empty nest. Formal and informal fellowship, service opportunities, Bible studies, and talks on timely topics are just some of the available offerings.

Mercy Fund

James 1:27 and other passages encourage believers to actively participate in meeting the needs of those in distress, going beyond mere words to offer tangible actions and care. There is an application process available to meet the financial needs of people connected to the HVC community.

Recovery

Pain and brokenness is all around us and healing is a process. Whether issues arise from abuse, divorce, addiction, or mental health challenges, recovery can be complicated and multifaceted. HVC has access to a network of therapists and ministries, including specialized recovery assistance.

Encouragement and Visitation

People need people—we are built for community. Sometimes circumstances feel overwhelming or make it difficult to engage with others, leaving us feeling alone. Trained volunteers, who have walked through a variety of life trials, are ready to be present with you, encourage you, and pray with you. Follow this link to Registration Central and look for "Pastoral Care Request" and select the Pastor Care checkbox.
