Find everyday opportunities along your path to serve others around you. Here are some ideas to get you started!

 

Donate blood (www.redcross.org)

Car wash or yard sale to raise money for an organization (give as donation or use to buy items needed)

Cook dinner for your sick or elderly neighbor

Babysit for a family or single parent for free

Help a friend or neighbor with yardwork or another house project

Write notes to your mail carrier, garbage collectors, police officers or soldiers serving overseas

Clean-up a local park or playground

Grocery shop or run errands for a neighbor who needs help

Care for the outside sitting area or garden at a senior facility

Serve food at a homeless shelter

Host a sing-along, share a craft, or read to someone at a senior facility

Volunteer at a local hospital

Build a home with Habitat for Humanity

Tutor adults trying to get their GEDs

Advocate for a child in foster care through CASA of Baltimore County
