Meeting at the Point at 9:00am on Sundays, the Hub @ 9 is designed to offer curriculum, series and resources that build the critical foundation for our faith and walk with Jesus.
New Series “Beginnings: A study in Genesis” starts Jan. 15th
- Did creation take 6 literal days?
- Where did Cain get his wife?
- Do dinosaurs fit in the Bible?
- Was “Noah’s flood” global?
- Does Evolution disprove the Bible?
- Did God really say…?
We’ve all asked those kind of questions. Basically they come down to this: “How can I trust the Bible on moral and spiritual issues if I don’t trust it on foundational issues in the first chapters?” Good news… there are answers!
“Beginnings” is designed for four purposes:
- Meet the author and creator; Jesus
- Strengthen confidence in God’s Word
- Equip to effectively engage the culture
- Increase Biblical knowledge
Taught by Dave Brower, this 10 week series, we’ll trace the “Scarlet Thread of the Gospel” from creation to the calling of Abram. By letting scripture interpret scripture, we’ll build a Bible- centered perspective, from which we will consider the hard questions that are generated by the book that is the foundation of our faith.
So, if Genesis has been intimidating, confusing, or simply “not that important” to you, this course will really get you thinking! It won’t be a debate, nor will it be a dogmatic lecture, but an interactive, dynamic multimedia curriculum designed to propel participants into personal scriptural discovery. If you’re inquisitive, it’s guaranteed to be exciting every week!
So, grab your Bible (and your morning cup of coffee) and let’s discover together! Oh, and by the way, we’ll be starting at the very beginning!
This series will be on the Sunday mornings, 9am, at The Point Cafe. Directions to The Point here.
The series will run for 10 Sundays starting on January 15th and ending on March 18th..
Pre-registration for course is suggested…
