be a Stephen Minister

What is a Stephen Minister?

Stephen Ministers are laypeople who are equipped to engage in the work of the ministry of care. Stephen Ministers offer a non-anxious presence when providing care for someone facing a life challenge or crisis. Stephen Ministers are not social workers or therapists. They are not responsible for fixing people or things. Stephen Ministers are lay persons who sense a spiritual calling (gift or passion) to show-up, be present and care for another individual who is facing a life changing crisis, loss, or transition. Stephen Ministers are gifted, trained, supported and affirmed volunteers with a heart to serve the Lord through service to others facing and living through a particular type of need.

If you are interested in considering becoming a Stephen Minister complete the application below. Following submission of your Stephen Ministry Application the Director of Care will contact you to set up a face-to-face interview. You are not committing yourself to service as a Stephen Ministry just by submitting your application or participating in an interview.
