First time Visitor?
Arriving at a new church can be an odd experience that is both familiar and strange.
We know that you may be visiting with us for a variety of reasons. Some want to connect right away and others want some space and time to check things out.
We want you to know we are genuinely excited that you’re our guest. We want you to feel welcomed and engaged and also able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people, and enjoyable, creative atmosphere.
The first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions.
How do I get there?
Here is a map to Hunt Valley Church. The main worship center is labelled “HVC” and our satellite location is labelled “The Point”. Our Sunday services tend to be well attended – we recommend you arrive about 15 minutes before the service.
What should I wear?
Please wear whatever feels comfortable to you. Those who attend HVC dress in every style from casual to coat and tie. Most people lean more toward casual but, please, come as you are.
What’s available for my kids?
HVC believes in the spiritual formation of your children. We partner with you to invest in their lives. While you are attending worship or our adult classes, your children will receive investment into their spiritual lives.
If your kids are infant to 2 years old they go to our “Front Porch” where they will be cared for and loved. The entry is located just outside the worship auditorium, next to the Welcome Center.
If you have kids from 2 years to through 4th grade they go downstairs to “Party Town.” Expect your kids to “light up” with excitement when they visit Party Town…it happens to adults too! Learn more about what we have for your kids up through 4th grade on our KIDS page. or checkout some pictures on the kids’ ministry Facebook page.
If you have middle school students, we have a great Sunday program for them at 9:30 at “The Point” and a MS youth group on Monday nights. The Point is our satellite location just across the I-83 bridge on Beaver Dam Rd. See the map. Youth will be greeted at the door and shown where to grab a snack and get connected. High School students are encouraged to attend the main worship services and then join our HS youth group on Sunday nights at The Point. Learn more about our middle and high school activities on our Student Ministry page.
What should I expect when I attend?
You will find a welcoming environment from the first parking lot greeter to the worship services. Our Welcome Center is conveniently located right in the lobby and is staffed by individuals who can answer your questions and provide resources. Grab a coffee, chat in the lobby, or help yourself to a seat – we are glad you are here!
