We’ve been where you are…
Arriving at a new church can be an odd experience that is both familiar and strange. It can feel warm, yet lonely. You may want to belong but you can feel left out.
We know that you may be visiting with us for a variety of reasons. Some want to connect right away and others want some space and time to check things out.
Here’s our promise: We’ll be welcoming for those ready to connect and we’ll give space to those who need it.
We want you to know we are genuinely excited that you’re our guest. We want you to feel welcomed and engaged and also able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people, and enjoyable atmosphere. We know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions.

What should I wear?
Please wear whatever feels comfortable to you. Those who attend HVC dress in every style from casual to coat and tie. Most people lean more toward casual but, please, come as you are.
What’s available for my kids?
HVC believes in the spiritual formation of your children. We partner with you to invest in their lives. While you are attending worship or our Adult classes, your children — no matter their age — will receive the greatest investment in their spiritual lives.
If your kids are infant to 2 years old they go to our “Front Porch.” The entry for that is located in our lobby.
If you have kids from 2 years to through 4th grade they go downstairs to “Party Town.”

If you have middle and/or high school students, they get dropped off at “The Point.” The Point is our second location just on the east side of I-83, just across the bridge on Beaver Dam Rd. Here is a map.

What should I expect when I attend?
You will find a welcoming environment from the parking lot to the worship services. After entering our Welcome Center is conveniently located right in the lobby. At the Welcome Center, smiling faces will greet you and answer any question you might have.
