Dave has been a resident of Maryland for many years, aside from living in Michigan for his early years and a two year stint in North Carolina after college. He lives in the Timonium area with his wife, Sue, not far from their son (Mike), daughter-in-law (Caroline), daughter (Christy), and son-in-law (Mark Metzger). Mike and Caroline are expecting their first child and Christy and Mark have two daughters (Tess and Claire) and a son (Tate).
Dave works as the Director of Customer Experience at Danfoss, a Danish refrigeration, heating and controls manufacturer with North American headquarters in White Marsh. Prior to Danfoss, Dave worked at PHH, a fleet management company in Sparks, MD, for a number of years in a variety of roles, including leading their Customer Experience, IT, Innovation and Project Management teams. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics at Franklin & Marshall College and then an MBA from Duke University. He is still a fan of Duke athletic teams – not a popular thing with the Maryland fans in the area.
Dave grew up in a Christian home, but began a personal relationship with Christ through the ministry of Young Life while in high school and grew through involvement with InterVarsityChristian Fellowship while in college. Dave and Sue are still active supporters of Young Life, having served on the local board for North Baltimore. Dave and Sue were part of the original group that started Hunt Valley Church in 1990 as an off-shoot from Timonium Presbyterian Church. Since the starting of HVC, Dave has served as an Elder for many years, a member of the Pastor Search Committee that connected with Frank Boswell, a Middle School Leader, High School Leader and a number of other committees. He is currently serving as an Elder, a member of the Management Team and a small group member (& occasional leader).
Aside from family and church activities, Dave enjoys sports, running/biking/rowing, golf, home projects and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity.
